On behalf of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, I award:

Private Sergei Nikolayevich Davydyuk, scout in a 76-mm gun battery, for his bold reconnaissance missions and artillery fire corrections, enabling the gun crews to fire accurately and intensively at the enemy, who subsequently destroyed 1 and suppressed 2 mortar batteries, destroyed 3 wooden pillboxes and several machine-gun positions, and killed a large number of troops.

He was boldly active among the combat formations and was the first to break through to the German wooden pillboxes and trenches. He captured valuable documents and delivered them to his headquarters.

Born in 1912, not a party member, Ukrainian, drafted into the Red Army by the Military Commissariat of the Konstantinovka Raion, Stalin Oblast.
