I. Brief description of personal feats or merits

In the battles between 14.1.45 and 16.1.45 in the region of Ostrolensk Comrade Vasil’tsev, while working as a spotter, demonstrated himself as a brave and courageous warrior. Under the enemy artillery firing of ? weapons he destroyed with his weapon three machine gun positions, smashed two bunkers, suppressed the fire of one mortar battery and smashed one weapon located on direct laying. In the deflection of the counterattack he killed up to 20 Hitleries.
Comrade Vasil’tsev deserves the governmental award, order of the Red Star.
