Perfect "X Years of Workers and Peasants Militia"?

According to the seller, this badge for the 10th anniversary of the RSFSR "Workers and Peasants Militia." He claims many things about many items he sells and very little has been true so far. Moreover, by the time anyone responds to this it will already be sold (current price was over $500).

To add insult, the seller sent me a message saying that the badge was "checked on a forum and 7 people said it was 100% original." Frankly, that last statement is more insulting (and informative) than any of his really weak attempts at insults in English.

If I am not the only one who sees a problem with this badge, I will try to find out from which "forum" he allegedly got his advise.

These of the reverse are the ones that seal it for me. The supposed maker marks are the final straw. The seller told me to look at Avers 8 and I did. What I found was that these marks were placed in exactly the same position as the ones in the photo and lack all the detail of the originals. Stamped maker's marks were applied with a hammer and not in a pre-set location on the item the owner of the mark made or helped make.

I've seen similar, but not usually that sloppy. I guess I am just too dubious of all pre-1938 badges - especially when they have anything to do with militia, MVD/NKVD or security services.

Just darned unlikely to find one in perfect condition.:rolleyes:
