Ivo Horvat Award
The Ivo Horvat Nature Protection Award (Nagrada Ivo Horvat) is traditionally granted on the Nature Protection Day in the Republic of Croatia and the International Day for Biological Diversity on 22nd May, as an annual and life-achievement award.
The award bears the name of a prominent botanist and university professor of botany Ivo Horvat.
It was established by the Ministry of Culture in 2006, and it is granted to prominent persons and organizations deserving praise for the promotion of nature protection.
