Ukrainian Buckle

:confused: Please can anyone advise re. this item. I have tried unsuccessfuly to determine whether or not this is a modern piece - i.e. post-independence - as I have no access to any information relating to modern Ukrainian insignia. However, it does not seem to be of modern origin. It measures approx. 52mm X 75mm and is convex in appearance, seemingly similar to some Soviet buckles.

Hello and welcome to the forum. The buckle is an modern ind.Ukraine buckle, made much the same way as Soviet EM buckles, but with the trident instead. I would date it 1991-today.
