Re: need help with BoH repair
I'm with Lapa and Alexei on this one: do it yourself. It's not hard to do. I once did an MG1 star with some sort of glue I found at Home Depot, and it worked just fine. Just use a little bit at first to see how it comes out so it doesn't show.

Badge of Honour
Hi Guys, again another new buy for me. I had always resisted buying post war made awards, but I this one tempted me as I had always wanted an example and the price was right :D Serial number is 387997.
Any ideas on date would be welcome. Cheers, Ade.

Doing some research on the Badge of Honor
Guys,
I am researching late-issue OBH. If you can post scans of anything you may have with SN OVER 1,463,500, that would help me tremendously :thumbsup Marc PS: by the way, do not hesitate to post any Order of Honor you may have, these are always nice to look at ;) |

Here's my highest numbered OoBoH for you, captured with the last bit of usable daylight left this afternoon.
Sorry it doesn't fit in to you research. :( But it's the thought that counts, right? Maybe someone else will help???!!! What's weird, that I just noticed, is the lack of patina around the "B" in ДВОР. All the rest of the letters have a nice patina around them. Strange

Re: Doing some research on the Badge of Honor
Marc - I have 1,526,917 (awarded 7/24/1986) and 1,527,773 (awarded 8/20/1986), but both are in storage where I cannot access them. I'll look to see if I have photos filed away, but I doubt I will. I have the docs for both with them, and I believe both were awarded in the UzSSR. I think I picked them both up before I started photographing and weighing things.

Re: Doing some research on the Badge of Honor
Marc,
I have 34 suspension BOHs in my collection, but only one in this s/n range. Here it is for your veiwing pleasure. Obviously, I am curious about the nature of your research. :) Alexei |

Who would've thought that those high numbered pieces would be hard to come by. :( Well, keep on keeping on and keep us updated :)

Re: Doing some research on the Badge of Honor
Alexei,
I don't necessarily think that they are so hard to come by, but it seems that some people are much keener asking repeatedly for help than contributing  Marc |
