Here's another officer with such a moustache (most likely his name was Vladimir Kiselev). I wander how he was welcommed when he liberaed Warsaw...

Also, it was quite popular in Poland (while just few 2-3 decades later children would call "hitler!" at anyone with this type of facial hair. An example may be Feliks Stola, whose group is here: http://soviet-awards.com/forum/sovie...iks-stola.html
Or this highly-decorated UB officer, Lt. Czaplejewicz (by coincidence also named Feliks).

And (sorry for the OT) - this man, a Polish WW2 vet and militia officer, not nly had an unfortunate moustache but also had a first name Adolf. I wander if he didn't get a bad nickname during his career...

Now, for something related, but somewhat different (or the other way around...): Soviet award documents to Hitler, Goering, Bormann, Hess.

And yes, they ARE real :D

Well, the name Hitler/Huetler/Hiettler wasn't so uncommon. I have even heard that there used to be a shop "Brothers Hitler" (found by the two bruthers of such surname) in Jerusalem, but I don't know if it's true.
