This is the Information/Queries thread relating to all things Khorezm People's Soviet Republic. The Khorezm People's Soviet Republic (Xorazm Xalq Sho'ro Jumhuriyati) was founded on 26th April 1920 from the Khanate Of Khiva (خانات خیوه) and was renamed Khorezm Soviet Socialist Republic (Xorazm Sovet Sotsialistik Respublikasi) on 20th October 1923. On 17th February 1925 the Khorezm SSR was incorporated into the Uzbek and Turkmen SSRs. The Khorezm SSR was never de jure part of the Soviet Union as the former Khorezm SSR territories were not incorporated into the U.S.S.R. until 13th May 1925.
