I have seen this grey shadows around the figures also on other awards. Could this be happened during the producing process at the mint?
This two pieces looks not like they were heated, for example that a screw was fixed reverse or that they got new enamel. best regards Andreas |

Re: Fake Orders of the Patriotic War 2nd Class
This is a replay for post #330.
Dear Sergio, to have a complete item you have to change its screw plate. I have seen no one answered you so I continue to discuss about your order. This is the explanation. Your order is numbered 871324. Your order has been produced in 1945 (8/17/1945 according with Filer's classification). It was the last war emission. The screw plate shown in your post #308 is not correct for this order. It needs a 1944-1951 type, your order "wears" a 1951-1991 screw plate. I am sorry, but Lapa's deductions are wrong. If you need more info I will be pleased to give you all the references you need to check my words. Regards, progress

@ms_lt:
welcome to the forum ! Your order of the Great Partiotic War is a fake. Such enamel damages are also faked widely, because the genuine ones also do have them very often. I am sorry :( Jens The bad guys are getting better ... ...or at least more ambitious ! |

Nice, indeed. How do you detect it is a fake?

Re: Fake Orders of the Patriotic War 2nd Class
The case and ribbon bar are special touches (bearing in mind that suspension OPWs pre-date Soviet ribbon bars which came in June 1943).

...and of course the oily (ugly) fake patina and the strange - shaped stick pin which looks completely different than the original ones...
