Maight be a fantasy. I am not sure, but I think something similar was already discussed long time ago in this forum

Jeff,

That is the silver version of the commemorative medal for the 3rd anniversary of the Revolution. There is also a bronze version. Original ones of either type are rare as hen's teeth while copies/replicas/restrikes/call-them-what-you-want are more than plentiful. As far as I know, there are no set criteria for assessment...

If you intend to get it, get it as a copy, that way you'll be on the safe side.

I think I saw this medal among the images of the NYC auction lots of a month or two ago. The auction pieces were in much rougher condition.

Yes, and they sold for over $1000 each if I remember correctly.
