Khrushchev back in power?

"...... as there were some people who wanted to return Khrushchev back in power and there were some attemps to do so at that time"

This statement was made for a write up on E; In all my time reading Soviet history I never came across any evidence of this; anyone read anything at all, or do you think, as I do, that its the guy just making up a story?

DougD,
It is very possible that some Khrushchevites wanted things to go back the way they were! A few years ago I was talking with some older people in the Republic of Georgia. They would, in a heart beat, go back to communism. Not because they did not want democracy, the just wanted the security of the way it was.

K in power

Yes, I understand that many in the former USSR, mostly the older generation, miss the security of the past ( though when they had this security they called it stagnation); what I am asking about is more specific, i.e. an actual move my some to bring back K. In my reading I have found no mention of this circa 1970.
