Award Citation:
In battle for city Nizhne-Kumskiy at night to 20 December 1942, comrade Valitov show bravery and directed own section to attack as skilled commander he personally killed 20 enemies from own gun and pelted by grenades under the corner of the building german tank and brew up it – that allow to go forward for 5 rifle company and develop the attack.
Comrade Valitov deserve order of great patriotic war 2 class to be issued!

The 300 Rifle Divison belonged to 5th Shock Army. 5th Shock Army was formed from 27 Army in Jan 1942. Fought at Stalingrad Area and drove to Mius River in Dec 1942.

- Sadly, I wasn´t able to find him/his bio in podvignaroda.
- I could also do not find the town named in the citation.




Nothing about the Bravery medal. In the citation is said: No other awards.

So, the stroy may be true or not:
(I bought this two medals (Bravery medal and OPW 2nd class) from a retired police officer.
He said that he got them from a co-worker whose father had died.
Supposedly he exchanged this two medals during the war with a prisoner for food)

The town is called "Нижне-Кумский" (Nizhne-Kumskiy).
