Re: Fake Orders of the Red Banner
Detailed pictures of these three will be needed to determine authenticity. If the screwback is numbered 245596 it is certainly not original, it is at best "modified" (which has destroyed almost any value beyond metal content). Prices fluctuate immensely - even with research (a service I can provide) but the two later ones if real will be around the £80-£120 mark. The market is in a downward spiral at the moment too.

Re: Fake Orders of the Red Banner
I think Dennis made a mistake with the first serial number. I like the orders but better pictures, also of the reverse, are needed to be sure.
CtahhR, I would buy all your Red Banners for £80-120 ;-)

Re: Fake Orders of the Red Banner
Hello guys,
I just would like to inform you that two black sheep appeared on the well-known online marketplace recently ... One is a guy from Sweden, who sells very well done fakes of higher military and civilian orders (no groups) and usually gets several hundred up to thousands of dollars for them! The other one is a guy from Australia, who sells a lot of partial genuine groups, which very(!) often have included a fake Red Banner of very good quality. Unfortunately I cannot provide the names here, but I think I should have warned everybody, because we are talking of a real large amount of money! Collectors beware!!! With best regards. |

Re: Fake Orders of the Red Banner
Would that person from Sweden coincidentally be this guy? Btw, could you please pm me the link to the Australian faker?

Re: Fake Orders of the Red Banner
I know a dealer that refers to his authentic items as "100% authentic" or "100% genuine" but his fake or questionable items as "Old". Everything is "100% old" be it real, fake or other. Doesn't say how old though...

Re: Fake Orders of the Red Banner
Hm ... o.k. Yes, I think you are right; some guys do have some "special" descriptions for their fakes to avoid getting "caught" as deceivers. What do you think concerning the Red Banner I posted? (I think it is a fake by the way...)

Fake Red Banners Australia
Hello comrades,
as already mentioned some weeks ago, a lot of well-faked orders of the Red Banner appear on E*** USA, (origin: Australia) these days from a lot of different sellers - be extremely careful when buying from there! They appear as single items (often with genuine or faked documents) or as whole groups. When they come with "archival research", they usually belonged to a tanker, tank destroyer, pilot, etc. with a lot of interesting features mentioned in the citations. Buyer, beware!!! Best regards! |
