Jubilee Medal "70 Years Of Victory Over Nazism".

The Jubilee Medal "70 Years Of Victory Over Nazism" (Ювілейна Медаль «70 Років Перемоги Над Нацизмом») was created by decree of the President on 29th April 2015 to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of Victory. Ukraine may well have intended to use the CIS Medal (which was founded in 2013) but after the troubles of 2014, Ukraine created its own Medal with it's own themes.

Awarded to registered World War II Combat Veterans, War Invalids, Forced Labourers and Prisoners (Military or Civilian) of the Nazis. Awards to Ukrainians had to be approved by the head of their regional Oblast (or in the case of Kiev, City) administration and awards to foreign citizens had to be approved by the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs.

The first 16 Medals were issued on 9th May 2015, with a total of around 65,000 being produced by the State Mint.

The Medal is of very good quality, including the small enamelled poppies and does not suffer the same counterfeiting that the CIS Medal does.
