For Labour Valour,03070,Teacher,Ivanovka Primary School,Ahtyrka Region,Sumy Oblast

Here is Medal "For Labour Valour" #3070, an early Medal. Going back before the Great Patriotic War, Winter War, invasion of Poland and even Halhin Gol we had the award of this Medal.

Decree Of The Presidium Of The Supreme Soviet Of The USSR of 4th May 1939.
On awarding especially distinguished teachers of rural schools.
For outstanding successes in the affair of school eduction and Soviet upbringing of children in rural schools. For the excellent setting of academic work in the active participation in public life in the village awards:

The Medal "For Labour Valour"

743. Red'kina, Nona Jakovlevna - Teacher, Ivanovka Primary School, Ahtyrka Region, Sumy Oblast, Ukrainian SSR

I'm sure this teacher will have seen the effects of the Holodomor on her students as well as the Great Purge. Not an easy situation.
