Commemorative Of The War Of Liberation And Independence 1875-1878.
Here is the Commemorative Of The War Of Liberation And Independence 1875-1878 (Споменица Рата За Ослобођење И Независност 1875-1878).
Created by Knjaz Nikola I of Montenegro in mid-1878 (circa May-July) to be awarded to participants in the Herzegovinan Uprising (19th July 1875-4th August 1877) and following Montenegrin War against the Ottoman Empire (18th June 1876-19th February 1878). The Medal was made in Vienna out of gunmetal captured by the Montenegrins from the Ottomans and due to that the colouration of the Medals can fluctuate quite considerably.
