Because I see and handle these, and a lot of similar declensions, every weekend at the local collector's club. It seems that someone came up with the idea that when you cross a widely available, next to unsellable badge, with another one, also widely available and also next to unsellable, you end up with a new variety of Komsomol badge that sells.
