Art,
They didn't want those medals to be mixed up at the shop. Alexei |

That seems pretty drastic, perhaps putting them in a numbered envelope would have been easier :)

Or labeling them in a different way, but that's what they did.

Unusual Zhukov medal - real or not?
Listed on eBay with the following description:
"This is original Russian rare type (Silver) medal Konstantin Zhukov. " Opening price - $125 with Buy-It-Now of $150. Is this real one? I've never seen silver one before. What do you think? William |

I was told that these are fantasie pieces.
It may also be just a tombac medal that was not goldplated. Rusty.

not sure
I disagree with you, I think it´s real.
I have one in excellent quality and the reverse is engraved with serialnumber. It does not look exactly like the one shown. The years is higher up to make room for the serial number. Best

:) Can you post a picture of the obverse and reverse?
I'd love to see it. I know that there are medals that were serial numbered for military personel. Rusty.

I had such two medals before.
There were silver, stamped, are definitely mint production. There is possibility those silver medals are some kind of limited edition (for collectors? :) ) but they are not fakes. |
