I'm pretty confident of this medal already, but I'd like to have some expert opinions. Anyone? :)

Doesn look bad Stah. File marks on the ring look to prove the variation.

It also has the squashed top point of the star on the obverse that version 2 forms of this medal have.

The lack of signs of wear worries me slightly - unissued (or copy/fake)???

The medal DOES seem a bit too shiny to be true, but that's only because I went and polished it before asking about authenticity... :o I'll post pre-clean pictures next time!

This the same Vienna medal I posted some time ago. I hope that these scans will be sufficient for a final verdict! :D (too late, it is in my hands, already)
