Here is an authentic example of the Novorossijan Medal "For Combat Merits".

When it comes to the DNR and Novorossija there are a few different designs and types of this Medal (as well as many fakes and fantasies).

The Novorossijan Medal has the Saint George ribbon reproduced and an underlined area on the reverse to engrave or etch a number - most or all were awarded unnumbered. Examples with a raised area for the serial number or minted serial number are fakes.
