Communist Voting Mandates

I would appreceate it if those of you which have this documents will post some pictures, and tell a little bit on the document - how many were issued, to who etc.

Milions of them were printed in all sizes, shapes, and designs. Some were just invitations to local and other party conferences, others were used for voting, etc. I think they are fun to collect, and are totally under-appreciated by the collecting community.

I will try to find some that are not as fancy as yours.

Here are two to a local KGB Border Troops conference. They are from 1952, both are voting.

These are very neat. The top and bottom ones are voting "mandat" while the middle is a guest pass. Sometimes you also see building passes. I would guess that one person could get 3-5 for each session - a mandate, a guest pass, a building pass, passes to a special event or two, etc.

Alexei, I would love to get some of the MGB ones if you ever have any for sale....

Political "mandat"
Can someone help me to ID this card? It’s most likely from the 50-ties or possibly late 40-tier. I think it’s some sort of card to get in and vote. But since I don’t read Russian that well I would like to know more.

I have six more, all to the same man, all slightly different. But all are from the Karelian republic that means between 31 march 1940 – july 1956. Some of them are named Petrosavodsk, the capital. This tells me that it couldn’t be wartime because Petrosavodsk was occupied by Finns September 1941 – 1944.

These are voting mandates for A.N. Yegorov, delegate to the 3rd, and 4th, congresses of the Communist Party of the Karelo-Finnish SSR.

I have a similar set of 4 for a guy - some are for the Ukrainian CP and some for a smaller Raion CP in Ukraine.
