He continually situates himself in the line units where Comrade Zakharov has taken portraits of the best soldiers and commanders, recording their combat stories. In the last three months Comrade Zakharov has had to accomplish the work of two photographic correspondents. Despite this, he managed to provide the publication high-quality and compelling photographs. Additionally, Comrade Zakharov has accomplished a series of special assignments for the political directorate. Comrade Zakharov is disciplined, hard-working, and bold and valorous in combat situations. He is deserving of the Bravery Medal.
