Short, concrete description of the personal combat feat or merits:

Squad commander comrade Kubasov has been serving during the Patriotic War as a disciplined soldier who takes initiatives. In our rear area he familiarized himself in all earnest with the pontoneer’s job and became a true expert. While serving with the Northwestern Front in March, comrade Kubasov at the head of his squad organized the crossing of the Lovat River, despite the ice drift. On July 24 and 25, 1943, while serving near Turkanovka on the Bryansk Front, comrade Kubasov took active part as an instructor and specialist in establishing a crossing across the Oka River, while under enemy machine-gun and mortar fire. The crossing was established in time, which enabled the crossing of the troops from the 3rd Army’s right flank. In his sector an additional crossing was constructed on July 26 near Karyzhnino and another one on August 1, 1943 near Novaya Svobodka.
