Tractorist 61st Army Evacuation Company Private Chereuta Vasilij Ivanovich in the composition of 1st Tractor Platoon, 61st Army Evacuation Company serving the 248th Separate Tank Regiment for the time of breaking the enemy line of defence on 17th September 1943 evacuating from the field of battle knocked out by the enemy and immobilised by anti-tank ditches six tanks, of which two tanks were evacuated under enemy artillery-mortar fire.

All the tanks were restored and participated in the following attack.
