From Herfurth: Lenin Prize Medal, created 1925, 30 awarded Made from gold, red band, 1300 Euro. value.

Actually, zweijahlich probably means twice per year, since the number in the photo is 1100+. Thus, rearranging my maths, 65 years x 2 x 30= 3900 or so pieces

Great set! I want it badly!

On the serious note, Lenin as well as other State Prize awards are for some reasons neglected by the collectors.

The numbers of recepients of these awards are much lower than the nembers of cavaliers of most of the Soviet orders.

I think these Prize award/groups deserve closer attention from the collectors community.

Here are some pics of the Lenin Prize awarded to Marshal Koldunov, for his advances in the air defense of the USSR.

This is his small document, I'll put up his large document once I get it scanned.

Note that it's in his 2nd award of the Gold Star box (I guess he kept it in here, or his family stuck it in here when they sold the group!)

What makes this group stunning for me - the fact that the recipient was Marshal in the Soviet Army. How often do you see Lenin prizes or anything at all awarded to a Marshal?

You can find Lenin Prizes given to some unknown scientist or Soviet propaganda puppet writer, but I bet you one to a Marshal is almost once-in-a-lifetime find.

And here's a picture of the Marshal wearing the Lenin Prize, while hanging with his 'homies' (so-to-speak, of course...) Kozhedub looks like he is in considerable pain!

Dear All

Here is something just acquired. Its a Lenin Prize to Yuli Abramovich Konzevoy (those who read Russian can correct my translation) for design and production of semi conductors. I am sure that this is something to do with the military. The Lenin prize is numbered 1472. Sorry for the quality of the scans.

Can anyone help me with more information of Yuli. I am sure he would be in some Russian scientific website.
