Serial-numbered combat medals
Hello,
here come images of medals I have been offered yesterday. I know that the images are far from good, but what do you think anyway ? (The two serial-numbered combat medals are said that they were given to one person... but who knows in these days !?) Jens* |

Re: Serial-numbered combat medals
Base medals look good from altitude. Although still not definitive since these were done at unit level, a blow-up of the serial numbers would be to your benefit.
Remember - buy the medal, not the story... There is nothing saying these weren't stamped out yesterday... |

Re: Serial-numbered combat medals
Hi Jens!
There’re a lot of stories about numbering of similar medals. But there’re no truthful among them. And nobody knows for certain. One thing is certain. Items have been numbered by the one's holders, for personal identification. For preventing mixing up with colleagues’ awards. For... that no one could steal it. At my place such medals are on sale as common. With regular prices. |

@desantik,@drill
Thank you two; I have not seen numbered combat medals for sale since 1996 - so I just thought it would be a nice opportunity to buy two of them for my collection... Jens |

Re: Serial-numbered combat medals
Go for it, however we're implying you shouldn't pay a premium for the serial numbers beyond your comfort level and ensure there is a mutually agreeable return policy.

Very wise words.
