Welcome to the Forum. What makes you think they are fakes? If there are any problems please post more detailed scans.

2 budapest

Alexei I am not sure that either are fake although the one with a rim the ring seems flattened alittle on the front side. my concern is which is more importatnt historically as that is the one which will go on display. I have determined that fortunately both collections are good with exception one Sevastopol is a fake according the thread on this forum a Warsaw and a Belgrade are variant 2 soon I hope to turn second set trade sell proceeds to go for a Alexander Nevskiy.

Ds photo,

In the Fakes section we only discuss fakes and suspicious items, so I have moved your posts here.

I don't know what collections you are talking about, I guess I must have missed something.

Historically and pricewise there is no difference between these two medals, they are just variations.

Medal "For The Capture Of Budapest" Document.

Hi Folks,

Could anyone out there please help me with:

1. Who this was awarded to?
2. Who awarded it?
3 Date of award?

Thanks in advance for any help.

This is a certificate for Budapesh Medal. Awarded on June 9, 1945 to comrade Saulkin.

He was in the 337th Rifle Division.

On second look, the guy that signed it was a General Major and Hero of the Soviet Union.

I agree on the HSU.

As a side note, there are collectors that collect signatures of HSU's!
