M1910 Maxim Machine Gun.
Hi Guys, another item from my collection. Built in 1944.
A big heavy bit of kit, but they are impressive! I also have various ammo tins, both metal and cloth belts, cleaning kit etc. I have shot one live with the British Army. Very reliable and the heavy mount means the stay on target with minimal effort. Cheers, Ade.

Re: M1910 Maxim Machine Gun.
Thanks.
Mine, along with most others on the market came out of "WWIII" reserve stock. In the 1960's the Soviet Army embarked upon a big rebuild and refurbishment programme on all their reserve stocks of WW2 weapons. They were stripped down, any repairs carried out then reblued, new woodwork fitted etc. Then put into storage in a former Ukrainian salt mine. In the late 1990's and early 2000's these (along with captured Fascist kit and former Lend Lease Thompson SMG's) were slowly sold off. Much still remains there but it is very doubtful if these will ever come onto the market due to the troubles there now... I think the ammo tins also illustrate the range of shades of green paint used too. Cheers, Ade.
