Comrade Abudennov participated in the Patriotic War since July 1941. Serving as a rifleman, he and his regiment took part in offensives near Moskovskaya Dubrovka in September 1942, near Sinyavino in September 1943, at Narva in February 1944, and on the Karelian Isthmus in June 1944, and he took part in the liberation of Soviet Estonia in September 1944 and the defeat of the enemy forces in Courland in February 1945. During these battles he displayed courage and bravery and received one light and two severe wounds.

He deserves to be awarded the Order of the Red Star.
