Fake Documented Groups of Orders - Page 7

Dear members,

maybe a put together group?

What is your oppinion?

The award book is from 1955.
The first entry is the Order of glory with s/n 700.329 (sounds plausible)
and than the two Medal for valor with s/n 956.516 and 1.640.522.
(should be awarded much earlier 1945)

Interesting fake on ebay. The seller's words (unclear...):
"soviet russian order GLORY 123cl.COPY +doc.silver USSR"
The BIN price is US $189.00.

To all:

Probably the most disconcerting aspect of this "beauty" is the Full Cavalier booklet. While I'm sure we all noticed the "rare border reverse" Slava 3rd Class, the booklet causes me the greatest alarm. Going back at least 14 years, I cannot say that I've ever seen a Full Cavalier Booklet as patently manipulated as this one. On the other hand, have I seen loads of manipulated Ordenskiye Knizhki? You bet.
I can only hope that should other blank Full Cavalier booklets have made their way onto the market they won't fall into the hands of a more sophisticated scammer i.e., one who is several notches above the grade school-level efforts of this guy.

At least he's selling them as copies...

He has bunch of other stuff - copies of HSU, Suvorov, Khmelnitsky - all with made-up docs.

Guys,

There was one more picture with his name - Sultanov, Khatmulla Asilgireevitch. According to the book the name should be Sultanov, Khatmulla Asilgareevitch. His Glories 3rd and 2nd were awarded in 1945, and Glory 1st - in 1946. Nuf said!

You raise a very good teaching point for the forum's novice collectors. Even if it had been genuine, it is extremely unlikely that this "set's" ultra-rare border reverse Order of Glory Third Class would have been issued as late as 1945. A dead giveaway.

I don't disagree, however, the sloppy handwriting is the least of this Full Cavalier booklet's problems!
