Docs and unnumbered medals...

My take on docs and unnumbered medals - the LS medal in this case: you can almost never tell if they really came together, even if they came from the guy who wore them. This medal could easily have come from somewhere completely different, so a slight mismatch wouldn't strike me as the unusual. Maybe someone down the line in the chain of ownership did his best to match a medal to a group he had.

On the BM: I wish I had a couple Afghan-era docs to compare with. I've not had luck in tracking those down, although I have someone who keeps promising me he'll get me a couple. If he ever comes through, I'll post images here to see what we get. On labor awards of the same decade, I'm sure I've seen them stamped [and I can look later through a handful I have laying around here somewhere], but I don't know on military medals other than the period ORS I have.

Is it just me or can someone produce an image or recollection of such a "FOR BRAVERY" stamp as this one here?
Paul,

I am with you on that one :thumbsup
