I found this on Podvig.
It seems to tally up, though the rank on the citation, the rank is shown as Krasnoflotsa, i assume the Naval version of Krasnoarmeets? Shelepin.jpg He appears to have been an Antiaircraft gunner i think? Thank! Tom |

The rank is basically "Red Navy Sailor".
He was head of an anti-aircraft battery. Quite an important job in the navy. Don't want the ship to be sunk....

MZAD is a tough one. It is part of the Anti-Aircraft Defence, as in MZAD PVO.
