Dolf,

I have seen some very good fakes lately, so I am unsure about the badge. This weird patina on the back worries me a little. This nut doesn't belong to it.

Alexei,

I also had some suspicions about the screwnut :weird
But I thought the Badge itself could be ok! :(

I wonder if there is anything Soviet they are not faking nowadays, if they do it even for a simple $50 piece

Thanks,

Dolf

No way to make a call, but looks like missing details. A reverse detail is equally, if not more important.

.. or it could be a genuine piece with a fair amount of wear. Better scans are needed.

ok, new one from a friend in the States

Here is one a friend of mine has that I am interested in buying. He wants $150 for it.

Everything he has sold me in the past (ORB, ORS, OOR, OPG2, OG3, etc) have been spot on in authenticity.

I have asked for higher res shots. will display when I have them.

What is the initial thougths.

His comment was that "the badge shows it has aged with dignity. The bronze has started to take on a nice chocolate color which I hope shows up pretty good."

Jeff,

With such scans...

Badge seems OK; I don't think that the screw plate is original to this badge.
