My Memories, I. H. Bagramjan

My Memories by I. H. Bagramjan.

First published by the press "Ajastan" (Armenia) in Erivan in 1979. Hardback with 660+ pages and originally costing 3 Rubles 30 Kopeks.

I've not read this but this example was autographed by Marshal Bagramjan on 1st August 1981 to Director of Tbilisi Mechanical Engineering School David Noevich Chechua.

Re: My Memories, I. H. Bagramjan

That observation really got me thinking.

Now most of these authors of life stories in the Soviet Union will have been retired soldiers who had had a particularly rough life by our standards.

Did they embark on book tours? I don't see Brezhnev signing books at the mall but what was the promotion of these books like? Did the authors put themselves out there or did an enthusiastic admirer ambush the Marshal in this case?
