General's Belt Buckle
Greetings kind collector colleagues.
Well, I found the guts to post this-embarrased about it. This was sold to me as stated in the title. Sure would be interested in your input. At best, this may be an officers belt buckle. Cheers, N |

I would say it IS an officers belt buckle. Generals and marshals belt buckles were two-part; the crest around was one part from one end of the belt, connecting with the globe which was at the other end of the belt.
I hope you did not pay too much for that one - it is pretty hard to get any use for it without the yellow belt and the connecting part from other end of the belt. Sorry. |

Norm,
As Patrik indicated, it is not a General's belt buckle. It is a 1970's~80's officer's parade belt buckle that is in pretty dismal shape to boot. Marc |

Speaking of belt buckles
This one has popped up on our local auction site.
Thoughts? Sorry, just two photos were provided.

Trench art, probably partizan. Quite common design. Ask polish diggers - they find similar buckles quite often.
