Re: Russian Federation Awards In Wear.

Here is a rather strange group to M. I. Petrushov. A veteran that seems to have been completely overlooked for the 40th anniversary celebrations but remembered twice for the 50th. The photograph is from 2009 so no 65th.

Re: Russian Federation Awards In Wear.

Here is Aleksej Aleksandrovich Stefanov in January 2013. A Stalingrad born veteran of Leningrad and Stalingrad. Four Red Stars and Three Patriotic Wars a tribute to the fact that this Senior Lieutenant led a platoon of Assault Engineers right into the thickest of it. Certainly worthy of repeated commemoratives and organisational awards.

Re: Russian Federation Awards In Wear.

Here is 1924 born Chinese Ethnic Korean Guelmime Nyeosa. A veteran of the Great Patriotic War and Chinese Liberation War. Awarded the Medal "For Combat Merits" by the Soviets and "North-East Liberation Commemorative" Medal by the Chinese she seems to have been completely ignored (by the Sino-Soviet split?) until an OPW'85. The Russian Federation then awarded her with the 50th and 60th Anniversaries as well as a Zhukov. The Chinese also awarded her a 60th anniversary commemorative of the liberation of the north east which is reportedly 24k (and also on the same ribbon as the Russian 50th). A very strange group which would seem to be incomplete - but is not.

She was also invited to Pyongyang to celebrate Kim Il-Sung's 80th birthday celebrations in 1992.

Comparing the two photographs that were allegedly at the same event she may wish to attach her awards a bit tighter.

Unusual combination of awards Hero Of The Soviet Union Nikolaj Vasil'evich Kravchenko

Here is a pic recently spotted in the news. What an unusual combination of awards for this Hero of the Soviet Union! Probably one of the latest awarded as he does not wear any significant Soviet award except one or two (not clear) Red Stars.
An Afghanistan veteran, also wearing unofficial medals…
Surprising.

Re: Unusual combination of awards

I see an Order of Lenin, 60th Anniversary of the Soviet Armed Forces, as well as Medals for Irreproachable Service in three classes.

Here's a better view of Colonel Nikolaj Vasil'evich Kravchenko's awards from 2012.

Congrats for the identification. :)
The way he mixes official and unofficial Awards is quite surprising at this level of Awards. I believe in sobriety...
