Medal "For Labour Distinction".
Here is a small, civilian but still interesting group
(I think) A Russian lady who first got the Soviet Medal for distinguished Labour in 1979 and then the Bulgarian medal for Labour in 1983. I wonder what she did ? As always , lot of questions but few answers.. ;) And here is the medals with Box for the bulgarian one Have a nice weekend everyone ! Christer |

Not mine  unfortunately.
it IS for sale... I just saw it online at some Russian site At the risk of having this post deleted, the high-level detail is: Starting price is $750, but the seller will sell to the highest bidder. I would not be surprised if this clears a thousand or two (especially withy today's prices)... Eric

Just to keep ruining everybody's day, I was offered this type of early triangular suspension for $20 a piece with backplate in St Petersburg (multiples available, of course). In my opinion, better make sure the link has not been cut!!!

I don't get it...
Maybe it's just me, but I don't see that this piece is worth even $750... Sure, it has a low number, but I've sold low numbered Glories, Red Banners, Pat Wars (with similar digit numbers) for half, and even a quarter of that price. Additionally, it has a cut ring, with drastically reduces the value of it (I had a very low four-digit MM once, but with the five-sided suspention that I couldn't even get more than $75 for!) AND it's missing it's backing plate!
Just my thoughts... --Dave Last edited by Dave; 07-16-2003 at 05:52 PM. |

This price is absurd. Particularly with the cut ring. If the ring wasn't cut AND it had a document with the recipients photograph I might pay $250 tops for it. I would be buying it for myself as trying to resell anywhere above that would be pointless.
I scanned through EBay's offering out of boredom and there are people trying to get $150 for a Type 3 Order of the Red Banner. So perhaps this is part of that logic. Art

Labour Distinction
Hi,
i got this interesting pieces recently from recipiens family and tought i but some pics to here also. I think it's interesting and not so common occasion. At least i see it first time. So, Janis Mikelson is awarded with two medals of distinguished labor, first one he got 1971 second one 1973 Is it mistake? Normally after distinguished labor medal You should get a valiant labor medal... but somehow he got two similar ones.:) |
