Badge "Ready For Anti-Aircraft And Chemical Defence".

Here is the badge I wrote about in another thread. It's the common Ready for PVKhO badge, small version, but with the letters DOSO. This could stand for: landscape society.

Has anybody seen other badges Ready for PVKhO with letters?

PVKhO = Anti-Chemical Defense

DOSO = One of the para-military voluntary societies. I think it was post Osoaviakhim and pre DOSAAF.

No landscaping.

A blast from the past: landscape society turn early DOSAAF and now turning Bulgarian.... What a ride :D

Found this on Ebay. Without the document it would not have been worth posting. But now this problem is solved for me. After only a couple of years... ;)

With the answer in my hand I now understand that the badge has the bulgarian colors on it, white/green/red.

This is related to OSOAVKHIM, but as far as I can tell it's an earlier than pre-JAN 1927 manifestation of the organization - DOSO (The Voluntary Society for Defense). Anyone seen another?

The photo may be deceptive - the actual badge is about the size of a US dime.

Here is the Badge "Ready For Anti-Aircraft And Chemical Defence". This was parallel to the Soviet award and issued by The "Voluntary Organisation For Assistance To Defence" which existed from 1951 to 1968.

Until recently these screwback (Type 2) Badges were quite obscure but a large supply of issued awards has recently found its way onto the market.

Here is the screwback Type.

Here is a document to Zaravka N. Nedelcheva, born 14th April 1908, dating from 16th April 1952.
Second is a document to Technician Muvejana Momova, born 8th April 1931, dating from 9th July 1952.

Both were awarded 3rd Class.

Here is the stickpin Type. This particular Badge has a rather short pin in comparison to others.
