I just got the second part of this book. If you collect badges you have to get it!! It covers several variations of Narkomat badges, front and reverse. About 200 badges are shown in clear sharp colour photos. Even has a price on most badges that looks like actual prices, not a Avers-kind of price! Also has a section on the structure of the Narkomat, wish I knew russian a bit better...

Only negative thing is that it's all in russian.


I have to apologise about the scans. My computer broke down and I have not got the hang of the temporary one I use now. Anyway this is what it looks like inside.

The book covers early Aeroflot badges, 1930’s “Best” badges (Best MTS Combine Harvester, Best Tractor Driver etc.), medals of All-Union Agricultural Exhibition (VSKhV), “Excellent” badges (Excellence in NKPP Food Industry and many others); Narkomat Excellence in Social Competition series, “Honoured” badges (e.g. Honoured Road Builder, Honoured Radio Operator), early fire department badges.

Sure is a nice series, but the price... In St Petersburg, they were selleing for over $50 each booklet!

I got mine from St Petersburg and it was brought to me home in Finland, the price was much lower.

I can get the book for you much cheaper so if you are interest, PM for me!

Got this book as well and it contains quite a bit of information and pictures. It is in Russian but by using a scanner and an OCR that recognizes Russian text, I can get by.
