Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment

While accomplishing the Command’s mission on 1.10.43, Junior Lieutenant Chkhartishvili conducted a reconnaissance by force of the lead edge of the enemy’s defense on Hill 88.1 and accurately determined the enemy’s firing system.

As a result of his accurate information, two enemy mortar batteries and two enemy machineguns were put out of action before being able to act.

He is deserving of the Bravery Medal.

Junior Lieutenant Nikolai Konstantinovich Chkhartishvili's Order of the Red Star, #339497. Note the damage to the 3 and 9 o'clock arms appears "fresher", less tarnish, than the seven o'clock arm.

Nice to see this one worked out and what a result! The 414th Division - my favourite. In October 1943 the 414 will have been in the clearing the peninsular of the Temrjuksk District of Krasnodar Kraj after just getting the "Anapa" title,
