Short, concrete description of the personal combat feat or merits:

On April 18, 1945, while breaking through the German defenses along the Neisse River, comrade Pugach under direct enemy fire repaired 10 breaks in the telephone cable, which enabled the battery to open destructive fire on the enemy infantry and vehicles.

On April 22, 1945, during the liquidation of the encircled enemy troops southeast of Alt-Duben, comrade Pugach, disregarding his own safety, repaired 11 breaks in the telephone cable under enemy fire, which guaranteed the uninterrupted communications between the observation post and the command post. Thanks to his courageous feat in guaranteeing the communications, the battery killed up to 50 Germans, destroyed 2 mortars and suppressed the fire of 4 firing positions.

He deserves the Order of the Red Star.
