Fed Cap

Well I said I would get pics up and here they are! :D
My Russian Federation officers visor hat.

Although I wonder if it is genuine.
SO.
It is up to you experts in your amazing knowledges to tell me!
I question the embroidery on it...is it supposed to be like that?

Anywho.
This is my hat.(even though it really should be a militia hat, and it would be if only a certain Ukrainian store wouldnt have jacked around with me for weeks on end leaving me with two hats I wouldnt otherwise have purchased and still leaving me without a bloody militia hat! *rage* )
Anywho.

Your...experts opinion?

Re: Fed Cap

I do not like the cap cord. It´s the first sign of fakes.

Re: Fed Cap

Now, I am NO expert in Russian Federation caps, I think they look too "Yeltsin", but the cap cord does not really worry me in this case, I have seen the same type of deep yellow thread cord on several Russian caps.

Re: Fed Cap

Thanks guys, but I was also wondering what the key signs and definitions of a Russian Federation cap?
If you can help me once more? :)
Thanks.

Oh and another thing, sorry, but could somebody please tell me where I would find a decent Russian Militia visor cap?

Thanks again. :D

Re: Fed Cap

mainly every thing we would accept as a fake in soviet caps is a sign of a good Russian federation cap.

the embroidering is of goldish treat and is the same as on all soviet fakes (most of them now on the big E).
inside is same as very late soviet (transition period).
Very steep crown (flying sorcer).
Color combinations and materials of lesser quality than soviet.

this is what i always use as to determine it is a Russian federation cap.
