Jettons were extremely popular in Russia in the early 1900s. There are many jettons for private and charitable causes from WWI.

The first one features the Czar on the obverse with the slogan "God save the Czar" and the reverse with French and English allies King George V and Raymond Poincaré.

This Kuchkin Factory jetton has the portrait of commander-in-chief Grand Duke Nikolay Nikolayevich Romanov on obverse. After the strategic retreat of Russian forces in 1915, the Czar replaced the Duke as the commander of Russian forces.
