Table Medal "325 Years Of The Union Of Ukraine And Russia".

Who knows where these medals were given for? I tried to look the internet for the date 1654 but the only thing I could find was the Polish-Russian war. But the Russians lost it so why remember this.....:rolleyes:

They are quit heavy:

Medal no1: 181 gram
Medal no2: 173

The first one is for the 325th anniversary of the friendship or whatever "brotherhood" between Russia(n RSFSR) and Ukraine (SSR). I think 325th anniversary feels a bit ... weird. I can understand 250, 300, 350 etc., but 325th?? Come on, it is like someone had a surplus load of metal on hand and someone came up with a bright idea - let's mint a medal! But for what? There are no anniversaries now? Wait... Yes, 325 years of cooperation between Ukraine and Russia, two countries that formally do not exist as independent states because both are in the same union now. Great, let's go for it.

:chuckle my thoughts exactly. But still its beautifully made en real heavy. Does anybody else have an idea of the second one?
