This was the third military order founded after 9 September 1944. Instituted by decree of the National Council of PRB on 28th May 1974
It was awarded to military servicemen from the armed forces and the Internal Ministry for their long, faithful and perfect service; for their contribution to the safety of the country. It has a Rhombus shape with red enamel and is 31 mm in size. There are swords passing through the rhombus. In the centre there is a lion with the National tri-colour and a wheat sprig. In the white enamelled ring is written "PRB for military Valour and Merit". The ribbon is pentagonal in shape, with the national colours and green lines on the edges. There were two classes of this Order. The first class is with gold elements. The swords and rays on the second class are made of white metal. This award was designed by Bojidar Kozarev and Marko ******. Awarding of this Order ceased in 1991.
