Short, concrete description of the personal combat feat or merits:


During the fighting with the German invaders in the period from August 4 to 8 of this year, comrade Odaryuk showed himself a brave and fearless soldier, relentless toward the enemies of the socialist motherland.

Skillfully maneuvring his tank, he battered down and aided in the destruction of the German invaders and their materiel.

In the process he destroyed 1 anti-tank gun and one medium gun.

Defying death, comrade Odaryuk didn’t abandon his tank, which had been set on fire by a German shell. Despite the burns he sustained he evacuated the severely wounded tank commander and the turret commander out of the burning tank.

He deserves the Order of the Red Banner.

Patrick, this is one of the nicest documented Red Stars I have ever seen; nice find and addition to your collection! I am especially fond of this type and variation. Thank you for sharing it with us. . .

Thank you, gentlemen, for your appreciations ! Besides being a really nice citation, what surprised me the most was the date of awarding. For an ORS 300K, I would have expected (with the help of Paul's "Echoes" ! ;)) mid or end 1943 ... not summer 1942 !
