Here's an Honoured Gramota medal variation. Apparently made of brass and goldplated. The loop is neatly soldered together.

A medal with the actual Gramota:

Awarded in 1984 to Sokorev, Jurij Valerievich for finishing construction of "Medvezhejarskaja" coal mine ahead of schedule.

How many medals like this were awarded?

I thoght this medal was rare, and till today I saw only 4 for sale, but the price is very low - I got one for $25.

Any thoughts?

This is a rare medal, but there isn't much information about it, so nobody knows exactly what it costs. $25 is a great price.

I think these are fairly common, and I have seen these sold for much less in Russia.

Prices and bidding on eBay seem to be more or less like a lottery. List your item the right week and get a fortune, list it the week after and get barely enough to cover the fees.
