Awarded to Ekaterina Vasil'evna Kichigina. Born in 1923 in Belebej, Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

I believe that nearly all of the 40th anniversary OPWs have been updated now. Sometimes it is exceptionally easy to link an award to an entry and other times it is impossible. With just a document like this the name has to be unique, with additional documents a recipient can be pointed out when there is more than a single recipient with the same name but sometimes there is no chance at all as there may be two people from the same town with the same name born in the same year awarded the same grade OPW. Fortunately out of the selection I have thus far researched only two recipients could not be identified due to lack of information vs. common name.

Hopefully more digging in this area will be able to create a map of which batches of serial numbers ended up in which areas. Of course not everyone was in the same place they were born in 1985 but with other information something could come of it.
