Re: Patriotic War II,0754071,Rifleman,141st Rifle Division

This reads like a text book example on how to capture a tank in combat. Knock off a track, lay in wait, pick them all off - one slightly used tank added to the force pool.

A fine OPWII citation.

No idea where "Mal-Baby" is though.

Exactly, clever and ruthless.

I have no idea where Mal-Baby is either, i imagine somewhere in Hungary, Romania maybe somewhere in the Carpathians kind of area?

Re: Patriotic War II,0754071,Rifleman,141st Rifle Division

I would guess it's a place in either Poland or Czechoslovakia. There are a few villages named "Baby" in Poland - it's possible that there is (or used to be) also "Małe Baby" somewhere, as it's not uncommon that "large" willage (Wielki/a/ie) is nearby a "small" village (Mały/a/e). with time the smaller settlemnts become parts of larger ones so nothing surprising in the fact that the place may no longer exist.
Also Baba or in plural Baby is popular in Czech Republic and Slovakia - There's a mountain called "Mala Baba", and possibly some villages called Baba or Baby as well.

The last letter in małe/male may be missing, and it was normal that the cities with name composed of two words have a hypfen when transcribed to Russian (like Kamieniec Podolski/Kamenets-Podolskiy).
