Once again, I need a stronger sarcastic emoticon. The Russians I knew didn't want the faded and behemoth version of the Soviet system back. Farmers out in small towns south of Moscow I talked to didn't care too much for the co-op bosses they had before. The only "stability" the Russians maintained was in keeping a buffer of other countries around themselves. As for western Ukraine, well the people in Lvov were probably tired of having the KGB up their collective wazoos - and I think I've said enough.
